Wynifred “Winnie” Ann Erickson Curwick passed away at her home after battling cancer at the age of 89 on February 20, 2021 with the love of her family at her bedside.

Due to Covid restrictions, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to a charity of your choice.

Winnie was born November 8, 1931 in Franklin, MN to Hazel (Sherman) and Raymond P Erickson. She moved to Marshall, MN with her family at the age of 9. On august 27, 1949, she married her loving husband, James H. Curwick. They resided in Marshall, MN until 1974, when they then moved to the Alexandria, MN area where they owned and operated a resort on Crooked Lake. In 1996, they sold the resort and retired in Brandon, MN. Winnie was a Den Mother to many young Cub Scouts. She was a hard worker and over the years worked various jobs as a waitress and at the Marshall Produce in Marshall, MN. After their move from Marshall, she ran their resort on Crooked Lake, worked as a Nurse Aid at Knute Nelson and owned and operated Rethreads Consignment Store in Alexandria, Mn.

Winnie enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jim of 71 years; her children, William (Annie) Curwick of Marshall, MN, Sheryll (Phillip) Drietz of Delhi, MN, Dawn (Chris) Fuhs of Brandon, MN; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and a special niece, Beverly (Mike) Schuft of Maple Grove, MN. She is loved by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Raymond; brother, Ray Jr. Erickson and sister, Gloria Revier and her sons, James Jr. Curwick and Jack Curwick. Blessed be the Memory of Wynifred Curwick.
