Georgene Ferber

Georgene M. Ferber, 85, of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Georgene Marguarite Ferber was born on February 28, 1933 to Harry and Georgia (Fuller) Wentler in Holloway, MN.  She grew up in Holloway and graduated from high school there.  After graduation Georgene moved to Fergus Fall to work for Dr. Gervais.  It was in Fergus Falls, she met her future husband, Monie Ferber.  Monie spotted her through the window from his place of employment, Victor Lundeen Company.  They were married on June 28, 1953 in Fergus Falls and made their home there.

Georgene enjoyed sewing, crocheting, craftwork, walking and Bible studies.  She was very active in the church with choir, circle, multiple committees and co-chairperson of Trinity Crafters.  She played fastpitch softball, was the catcher and enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events.  Georgene especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family.

Georgene is survived by her daughters, Cheri Anderson of Fergus Falls, Bonnie (Jay) Johnson of Fergus Falls, Tami (Dave) Woodard of Moorhead; son, Mark (Sara) Ferber of Minneapolis; sisters, Marilyn Fronning of Fergus Falls and Sheila Romero of Folsom, CA; sister-in-law, Marcia Ferber of Fergus Falls; nine grandchildren, Josh (Jody) Harworth, Lyndsi Harworth, Tucker Johnson, Cassie Woodard, Andrew Woodard, Cory Woodard, Lexi Woodard, Marija Ferber and Annika Ferber; three greatgrandchildren Alexzandra Harworth, Mason Harworth and Landon Harworth; and several relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Monie; brother, James Wentler; many sisters and brothers-in-law.

Funeral service will be Thursday, December 27 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.

Visitation will be held at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls on Wednesday, December 26 from 5 to 7 PM with a time of sharing at 7:00 PM.

Burial will be in Trinity-Faith Cemetery in Fergus Falls.
