Thomas George

d. December 20, 2021

Battle Lake

Thomas Ryan George was received into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, December 20, 2021. Tom was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. We will miss him dearly. He had the gentlest soul and a warm, calming presence about him. His beautiful smile and contagious laugh brought immense happiness to all who were around him.

Tommy was the firstborn and set an amazing example for his twelve younger siblings, displaying all the fruits of the Holy Spirit at work within his life. Tommy was full of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. He deeply loved all of his family and put them before himself. Tommy also loved his Lord and gave his heart to Jesus. He was baptized on August 12, 2012 in Alexandria, MN.

Valedictorian of his Battle Lake High School class, Tom went on to graduate summa cum laude in 2010 from Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM), majoring in business and accounting. He was fiercely committed to his work as a financial analyst for Archway Marketing Services, providing accounting and finance support for Microsoft in Fargo. He was known by his employer as an honorable and dependable worker, displaying great patience and tenacity working closely with new employees. Outside of work, Tom’s generous spirit led him to become a devoted member of the Fargo Optimist Club, a philanthropy organization committed to benefitting children in the community.

At home, Tom never felt like he needed to be the center of attention. He was content to sit back and watch the commotion unfolding around him. Yet, Tom was always excited to play games, watch movies, and go on adventures with his siblings. His brilliant mind and quick wit will be missed every time the family gathers together. In the last year, Tom became an uncle and he absolutely fell in love with his niece, Eleanor. It brought him so much joy to hold her and play with her.

Tom is survived by his mother, Martha, siblings Robert, Stephanie, David, Gary, Sarah (Jason), Mark, Rick, Katie, Andrew, Ryan, Allie, and Halie, grandparents Ben and Mimi Vogel, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Gerard George, and his paternal grandparents Walter and Joan George.

Tom’s unexpected departure from this world has brought incredible sadness to everyone who knew and loved him, but we are thankful knowing that he is resting in the comforting embrace of Christ our Lord and reunited with his father in Heaven. God bless the soul of Thomas Ryan George. We will always love and miss you, Tom!
