Sharon Ann Brunner was born March 21, 1951 in Faribault, Minnesota, the daughter of Carl and LaDonna (Caron) Brunner. She graduated in 1969 from Bethlehem Academy in Faribault and went on for vocational training in the area of clerical and office work.

On April 23, 1977, Sharon married Steven Keilen at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault, and they were blessed with two children.

Sharon began her career at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, where she worked in the office and printing department, a job she held for seven years. A woman of many hobbies, she enjoyed knitting, cooking, canning and traveling. She was especially known for her baking, especially for the many treats she prepared during the holidays. Sharon was involved with Special Olympics, Girl Scouts and was an active member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, where she participated in Catholic Daughters.

Perhaps the most important part of Sharon's life was her family and especially in recent years, her three grandchildren.
