Robert "Bob" Rieck

Robert (Bob) Herman Rieck, 84 of Evansville, MN, peacefully passed away on October 7, 2021 surrounded by loved ones.

Bob was born on April 5, 1937 to Otto and Lena Rieck in the town of Verndale. After Bob graduated from Verndale High in 1956 he pursued a career in sales, specifically industrial mechanical supply.  Bob worked for Baldwin Supply in Minneapolis for most of his life, until retirement. During this time, he was active within the cities of Rogers and Hassan, on many boards and civic organizations.

In 1946 he met Barbara Raaum, while he was serving in the Army, at Bob’s sister Mazi’s.  Bob and Barb went on to have two children, Curtis and Debra.

In 2003 he retired and moved from Rogers to Evansville.  His retirement allowed him the time to pursue his love of fishing and hunting. He and Barb regularly fished Lake Moses and Bob’s favorite time of year was deer hunting with his Grandson’s Christian and Caleb. On the final hunt of his life, he finally harvested his first buck!

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Sisters Mavis Mueller, Dorothy Foster and Marge Wens. Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara; brother Chuck Rieck, his children, grandchildren Christian and Caleb Rieck, Justin and Daniel Evavold, Matthew, Sarah and Stephanie Meinke, and great-grandchildren Samantha, Bailey, Abby, Aric, Avalyn, Aiden, Devin and Tyler.

In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Calvary Covenant Church, Evansville, MN.

Visitation: Friday, October 15th at 5:00-7:30.at Calvary Covenant Church

Services: Saturday, October 16th at 2:00pm at Calvary Covenant Church, 404 Meeker St., Evansville MN
