Having inherited artistic abilities from her mother she developed a passion for quilting sewing, knitting, and baking. She had a strong love for music and was a skilled flute player. She was active in Zion Lutheran Church of Amor where she sang in the choir, was a member of the quilting group and shared her outgoing personality and love of helping others by being a Stephen Minister.

Bobbi was the mayor of Battle Lake for three terms and was committed to enhancing the City of Battle Lake and making it a welcoming City for all residents.

For 50 years Bobbi owned a beauty shop in Battle Lake and for all those years, served her clients faithfully from one generation to the next.

She loved Newfoundland dogs and owned five during her lifetime, Cutty, Sadie, Hannah, Emma, and Olive, each one bringing her companionship.

Bobbi was huge Minnesota Vikings fan and the Viking flag flew proudly in her front yard. Each game was watched with a notebook close by. Her daughter Megan is currently reading several and suggests her comments and observations should be sent to the Vikings coaching staff.

Bobbi was born being a Democrat and very happily witnessed the current President defeated by Democratic President-elect Biden. Her family knows she is still smiling about this win!

Friendly, creative, bold, forward thinking, kind hearted, always sharing her talents, had a great laugh, and never met a stranger- traits she freely shared with family and friends and the City of Battle Lake her whole life.

She is survived by her children, Megan and Tad (Jill) and her precious grandson, Henry who was the apple of her eye. She is also survived by her mother, Leta Hanson. Bobbi was predeceased by her father, Lewis Hanson.

The family would like to thank her many friends who supported Bobbi the last few years and were there for her with visits and phone calls.
