Joann Kaduck

Josephine "Joann" Kaduck, 70, of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, February 23, 2014, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.

Josephine Ann Zitsman was born June 5, 1943, in Wanda, Minnesota, the daughter of John Paul and Genevieve (Skoblik) Zitsman. She graduated from St. Anne's Catholic High School in 1961, and went on to attend Business School for one year in Gaylord, Minnesota.

Joann moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she worked for the Santa Fe Railroad. While in Chicago, Joann married Ron Kaduck, and they were blessed with three sons.

Over the years, the family also lived in Springfield, MN, Redwood Falls and Duluth, Minnesota, eventually ending up in Fergus Falls in 1972. Joann worked at Lake Region Hospital as a nurse's aide for fourteen years, at K-Mart for an additional fourteen, and most recently, worked at Fergus Falls Community Education for the last five years of her career.

In her spare time, Joann enjoyed bowling, reading, crocheting, knitting, watching football, and playing the piano.

Joann is survived by two sons, Edward (Laura) Kaduck and Peter Kaduck, both of Fergus Falls; three siblings, Mary (Joseph) Jacoby of Alexandria, MN, Ruth (Russ) Beert of Logan, MN, and Joseph (Linda) Zitsman of Eagan, MN; a grandson, Jordan; and two step-granddaughters, Tina and Sonia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael, and brother, Jack.

Memorial Service: 11 AM Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fergus Falls, with visitation one hour prior to services at the church.
