Everett Lewis

Everett Lewis, age 62, of Underwood, died Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls.

Everett Richard Lewis was born August 3, 1948 in Barnesville, MN to James and Madeline "Dotsy" (Hines) Lewis. He was one of seven children. Everett attended Barnesville High School.

On December 31, 1969, he married Vicki Myrbo. The couple met on a train Christmas Eve and married one week later. They were blessed with two sons and one daughter and more than 41 years of love and companionship.

Everett was a hard worker. He worked as a laborer most of his life, mostly in excavating as a heavy equipment operator, but was a jack of all trades.

He was a very kind and giving person. Everett often put the needs of others before his own. He cherished spending time with family and friends. Some of his favorite pastimes include playing his guitar and singing, fishing and doing woodwork.

Everett is survived by his wife, Vicki; his children, James (Ann) of Dalton, Marni (Adam) Harvey of St. Paul; and Travis of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Gunnar Lewis, Brandon and Zachary Harvey; sisters, Sharon Trisco of Big Lake, Shirley (Ken) Hedlund of Enumclaw, WA, Debbie Kolding of Newport, NC and Beckie (Terry) Ressler of Mandan, ND; mother-in-law, Muriel Myrbo of Fergus Falls and several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, LuVerne Lemke; brother, Rodney; and sister Bonnie Mathison.


Funeral Services: Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Glende-Nilson Funeral Chapel, Fergus Falls

Visitation: one hour prior to the service

Clergy: Reverend Glen Lord

Cemetery: Tordenskjold Free Mission Church Cemetery, Battle Lake
