Viola Krog, 85, of Pelican Rapids, died on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Pelican Valley Health Center in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota.
Viola Edna (Peasley) Krog was born March 7, 1929 to Alvey and Lillian Hazel (Cox) Peasley in Fergus Falls. She attended country school in Edwards.
She married Millard Krog in South Dakota. The couple had 4 children, Larry Mal, Patricia Viola, Terry Al and Marlene Metzger. Viola was a faithful homemaker and mother to her children.
She loved being a Grandma, second Mom to Jami until age 4 and spending time with her family. Viola enjoyed playing cards, especially Rummy, riding on the 4-wheeler, collecting jewelry, stuffed animals, singing and watching Bonanza with Little Joe. Viola loved to joke around and some words of wisdom from grandma, "God Knows."
Viola is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Jack) Kightlinger of Erhard; son, Terry Krog of Erhard; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Krog; 6 grandchildren, Chasity (Travis Schwarz) Krog, Jami (Mike Korby) Krog, Ashley Erickson, Jessica (Mike Kugler) Krog, Jason (Mikayla Jensen) Krog and Aric (Amanda Waddell) Krog; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Laura Waasdorp; brothers Harold (Rose) Peasley, Alvey Jr. (Marlys) Peasley, Donald (Glenda) Peasley and Earl (Claudia) Peasley along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvey and Lillian, husband, Millard; son, Larry; sister, Elsie Merritt; brothers Alfred, Raymond, Francis and Carl; great granddaughter, McKenzie Wheeler.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 19, 2014, at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
