Vincent M. Hendrickson, 89, of Henning, died on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the St. Williams Living Center in Parkers Prairie.

Vincent Mitchell Hendrickson was born to George and Leona (Mitchell) Hendrickson in Battle Lake, Minnesota on September 20, 1935. He was the eldest child of five siblings. Vince grew up in the town of Battle Lake and graduated from Battle Lake High School in 1953. Shortly after graduation, He enlisted in the US Navy, and also shortly thereafter married his sweetheart, Irene Tjaden. In the Navy, Vince became trained in air traffic control and progressed to reach the rank of Chief Petty Officer while he and family lived the transient military lifestyle, traveling and working in many different locations. Among Vince’s favorite work destinations were tours in Cuba, Iceland, Antarctica and New Zealand. While stateside the family resided in Kansas, New Jersey, Jacksonville and Key West Florida and Corpus Christi Texas. After retiring from the Navy, Vince and family bought the general store in Urbank Minnesota and lived there for five years while tending bar, driving school bus and going to technical college. Vince and Irene then moved back to Florida where Vince started a career in telecom and electronics manufacturing. In the following years, Vince worked for a variety of corporations in central Florida before retiring and eventually relocating to their lake home overlooking Battle Lake.

Vince had a passion for watching any kind of sports, but his favorites were his hometown Twins and Vikings. There were many eventful trips while moving from one destination to another as they were all cross-country trips camping along the way.

Vince has been preceded in death by his parents George and Leona Hendrickson, his brother Joel Hendrickson, sister-in-law Bev Hendrickson, and son-in-law David Rosario.

Vince is survived by Irene, his wife of 70 years. He is also survived by siblings, Craig Hendrickson, Janice Gangl, and Sue (Jeff) Strassburg, and his children Kim (late David) Rosario, Terry, Joy (Randy) Meissner, Ronda (Brian) Hemquist, and Dean, and further survived by his eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Honorary pall bearers are both his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial Gathering: Wednesday, August 27, from 11-1 PM, with a 12:30 prayer service at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Battle Lake.

Clergy: Rev. Nicholas Laven

Interment: 2:15 PM, at Lakewood Cemetery, Battle Lake, MN, with US Navy Military Honors
