Victor Thomas Lundeen, born on January 1, 1997, in Fargo, North Dakota, passed away at his residence on April 14, 2026. Victor’s life was marked by a blend of gentle kindness, spirited joy, and a genuine openness that touched everyone who knew him.
Raised in Fargo, Victor attended elementary school at McKinley and Ben Franklin before proudly graduating from Fargo North High School in 2015. Throughout his youth, he embraced the adventurous spirit of the Cub Scouts, a time that laid early foundations for his curiosity and love of community. His mother, Mary, treasured many moments reading fantasy books aloud to him during grade school, sparking his imagination and deepening their unbreakable bond. Those evenings were also spent sharing movies together, a ritual that remained a cherished part of his life.
Victor’s interests were as varied as they were heartfelt. He found joy in video games and skateboarding, and took delight in the outdoor challenge of frolfing. Music held a special place in his heart; he not only listened with great passion but also bravely explored his own voice as an aspiring rapper. Fishing excursions with his beloved uncle George Schamber brought him peace and happiness, moments that are fondly remembered by family. His keen interest in history reflected a thoughtful nature and a desire to connect with the stories of the past.
His career journey through roles at Petro/Caseys convenience store as a clerk, working the Go-Cart Track at Thunder Road, and more recently at Ruby Tuesdays Restaurant in Fargo as a server, showcased a steadfast work ethic and warmth in service to others. Victor’s sincere hospitality and the joy he radiated were gifts he freely shared within his community.
Victor is survived by his devoted mother, Mary Lundeen; father, Meho Nurkic, both of Fargo, ND. He is also remembered lovingly by his half-sister Elma Sefer, brother Elmin, and his aunt and uncle, George (Evelyn affectionately known as Punky) of Battle Lake, MN. His circle of family extends through numerous relatives and friends who hold his memory dear. Victor was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, whose legacy continues in his spirit.
A visitation will be held on April 23, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 102 Lincoln Ave., Battle Lake, MN 56515. A committal service will take place on Friday, April 24 at 1:00 P.M., at Grue Lutheran Cemetery, rural Ashby, MN. It will be a time for those who loved Victor to gather, share stories, and honor a life that, though cut too short, was filled with profound kindness and meaningful connections.
Victor Thomas Lundeen’s story is one of a good friend and gentle soul whose kindness touched many, whose hospitality was a comfort to all, and whose joy illuminated the lives around him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a beacon of warmth and genuine care.
