Vera Olson

Vera Marie Olson of the Henning area, formerly of Clitherall, passed away at the age of 96 on April 16, 2016 at the Ecumen Bethany Nursing Home in Alexandria, Minnesota. Vera was born August 29, 1919 in Inman Township to Frank and Mabel Roberts. She was married to Herbert Olson on September 16, 1944. Herb and Vera farmed in rural Henning, Vera had other jobs outside of her farming duties. Notably, Homecrest in Wadena. After retiring from farming, Herb and Vera moved to Clitherall. She also made residence at Summit Village, Battle Lake, then Willow Creek Assisted Living, Henning. Vera is survived her brother Veryl (Vivian) Roberts of Brainerd; 5 children: Judy Turk of Inver Grove; Jeffery (Roberta) Olson of Mounds View; JoAnn (Darrell) Loutsch of West St. Paul; Jean (Roger) Rehborg of Garfield; and Jan (Kevin) Hoffman of St. Paul; plus 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Vera was preceded in death by her husband Herbert, brother Vernon and sister Viola.


Funeral Services: 11 AM, Friday, April 22 at First Lutheran Church, Battle Lake, Minnesota

Visitation: 9:30 until the time of service at the church
