Terrie Mohrmann

Jan 8, 1955 — May 5, 2026

Terrie Lee Mohrmann, 71, of Evansville, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Mayo Clinic in Waseca, Minnesota. There will be a memorial service in her honor at 3 pm, Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Evansville Senior Center, with a visitation beginning at 2 pm.

Terrie Lee Hamilton was born on January 8, 1955 in Pasadena, California, to Lawrence and Alice (Mackey) Hamilton. She later moved to Evansville with her family and became high school sweethearts with Terry Mohrmann before they graduated from Evansville High School.

After high school she began her 15-year career at Medallion Kitchens. She also worked cleaning businesses, Crestview Manor Dietary Aid and later Dietary Manager, and 32 years at the State Group Home in Alexandria. During her careers, Terrie and Terry married, together they were blessed with 2 children, Danny and Heidi and adopted Marvin. Terrie’s children, grandchildren, son-in-law Jamie, and her dog Eddy meant so much to her. She loved and treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children, and was very involved in their lives. Terrie was a mom to all, everyone called her “Mama Ter”.

Terrie was a generous, loving person who was always helping others. She would give her last penny if it meant someone would benefit from it, and never wanted to receive any gifts in return. She loved feeding others. She was especially known for making pickles and homemade chicken noodle soup, with homemade noodles. Terrie may have missed a lot of events because she didn’t like crowds, but she always wanted to be there. She also enjoyed writing letters to her friends and family, tending to the flowers in her yard, and going to the casino.

Terrie is survived by her children, Danny Mohrmann, Heidi (Jamie) Englund; grandchildren, Braydon and Caleb Englund; step-grandchildren, Torrie (Katie) Englund, Michaela (Dalton) Koch; step great-grandchildren, Paislee and Zoey Englund, Ashton Koch; brother, Larry Hamilton; sister, Karon Mohrmann; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray (Carolyn), Dale, Randy Mohrmann, Gail; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Mohrmann; brother, Donald Hamilton; sister, Sharon Geib; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary, Jim, Richard, Curt, Gordan, Bobby, Gene, Donna, Karen, Sharon, Dawn, Mel, Peggy, Carol, Mona, and Jan.

The family of Mama Ter would like to thank you in advance for your attendance at the Celebration of Life.
