Solveig Moss

Solveig Moss, age 103, of Fergus Falls died Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Pioneer Care Center in Fergus Falls .

Solveig was born in Stavanger , Norway on April 1, 1907 to Peter and Lottie (Shevaland) Kvaal. As a young girl she came to America with her family and they settled in the Hampden, North Dakota area where she worked on the family farm and attended school.

Solveig married Kingma Moss in Breckenridge , Minnesota on August 25, 1928 and they lived and farmed in the Carlisle area until 1966 when they moved into Fergus Falls . Kingma died August 22, 1983. She has been a resident of the Pioneer Care Center for the past few years. Her hobbies included doll collecting, exercise, bingo and storytelling.

Solveig is survived by one son, grand children, great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins, and special friend, Bob Lincoln of Fergus Falls .

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Lottie Kvaal; her husband; Kingma Moss, sisters, Jordis Braaten, Ella Larson and Margaret Thompson; and brothers Petrolph Kvaal and Arthur Peterson
