Scott Sorenson

Scott A. Sorenson, 70, passed away quietly at his home in Vining, MN on June 14, 2026 surrounded by family.

Scott was born on December 18, 1955 in Superior, Wisconsin, to the late Richard and Beverly Sorenson.

Scott married the love of his life, Donna Fults on September 28, 1974. They had one daughter Melissa on October 26, 1975. Scott joined the Armed services in 1975 and was Honorably discharged in 1982 with a Good Conduct Medal (2); Army Commendation Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon. He was assigned at Ft. Riley, Kansas and had a tour of Duty in Germany. He enjoyed visiting castles in his free time.

Scott loved to be outside beautifying his surroundings. He enjoyed boating and fishing with the grandkids. He loved nature and all the critters that we would see on our property. He was always busy planning on which project to work on next. Scott loved his four-legged kids! He enjoyed his muscle cars!

There are no words to describe the terrible hurt that will forever remain in our lives and in our hearts.

Scott is survived by his loving wife, Donna of Vining, MN; His granddaughter, Amanda (Mike Kirkpatrick) of Ashby, MN; his grandson, Steven Ackley of Fergus Falls, MN; 3 great grandchildren, Jordyn, Caleb and Connor of Ashby, MN; his brother, Jim (Sharie) Sorenson of Wabisha, MN; sister, Jane (Mike) Krause of South Range, WI; mother-in-law, Donna Fults of Menagha; brother-in-law, Joe Fults of Birchdale, MN; sisters-in-law, Pam (Paul) Ossachuk of Thunderbay, ON, Martha Fults of Saginaw, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Scott is preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Sorenson, Fergus Falls; father and mother, Richard and Beverly Sorenson; his father-in-law, Joseph Fults, International Falls; sister-in-law, Verna Larson, Fargo.

There will be a Celebration of Life, June 27, 2026, at the Henning Community Center in Henning, MN from 1-4 pm.

Interment will be at a later date in Port Wing, WI.
