Roger Ballweber, 82, of Fergus Falls, MN died Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.

He was born June 19, 1937 in Adams County of North Dakota to Delmar and Nora (Hofland) Ballweber.  He grew up in Reeder, ND and graduated from Reeder High School.  He then attended the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton for one year.  He joined the U.S. Army on July 7, 1955 and was honorably discharged on April 7, 1958.  He was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Reeder.  He was confirmed in the Catholic Faith in November of 1965 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson, ND.  On November 22, 1965, he was united in marriage to Bernice Sykora also at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.  Roger worked as a heavy equipment operator for Fisher Industries and Northern Improvement Company both of Dickinson.  He and Bernice lived in Reeder, ND, Sidney, MT, Dickinson, ND and Fergus Falls, MN.

Roger was a life member of the Eagle’s Club and the VFW Post 612 of Fergus Falls.  He enjoyed golfing in his earlier years and playing board games and cards.  He especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting activities and concerts.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice of Fergus Falls; his children: Rory (Karen) Ballweber of Eagan, MN, Mike (Toni) Ballweber of West Fargo, ND and Michelle (Brad) Danielson of Fergus Falls, MN; four grandchildren: Ben Ballweber, Brady Ballweber, Connor Danielson and Caleb Danielson; two sisters, Nola Goode of Stanton, ND and LaVon “Vonnie” Braun of Kennewick, WA; a brother, Doug Ballweber of Elgin, ND; five sisters-in-law: Delphine Ballweber of Wahpeton, ND, Cleo Ballweber of Scranton, ND, Georgie (Vince) Hibl, Irene Kessel and Lorraine Sykora, all of Dickinson, ND and many, many nephews, nieces and great-nephews and nieces.  He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: JoAnn Schwartz, Dottie (Norman) Oase, Lois (Elvin) Schwarzwalter, Carol (Bobby) Markegard, Duane, Willard and Riley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Laudie and Bessie Sykora; six brothers-in-law: Jake Braun, Fritz Schwartz, Donald Schwartz, Laudie Sykora, Jr., Jerry Goode and George Kessel; a sister-in-law, JoeAnn Ballweber; four nephews and one niece.

Visitation: one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mass of Christian Burial: Friday, November 29, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fergus Falls.

Burial: North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery in Mandan, ND
