Rhiley Joy Henneman, age 7 of Evansville died Friday, July 17, 2015, surrounded by her family at the Masonic Children's Hospital in Minneapolis from complications after her heart transplant.
Rhiley Joy Henneman was born on August 1, 2007, the day the I-35 bridge collapsed, the daughter of Michael Henneman and April Lystrom. She attended Sunday School at Faith Lutheran Church, two years of pre-school and then the Brandon-Evansville Elementary, going kindergarten through the second grade. Rhiley went to Sharon Walbergs daycare. She enjoyed the kids she went to school with, knowing many in all grades and loving their friendship.
Rhiley loved swimming, if not in the lake she enjoyed water time in the bathtub and her pool. The family spent time on Middle Lake where Rhiley loved to swim, fish and camp. She liked water puddles, often asking to go to uncle Lonnie's to play in the puddles, she would do Flat Rhiley's on the sidewalk. Rhiley especially enjoyed music, dancing, and singing. She enjoyed her time with Mom and Dad, her sister and brothers, her dog Charlie, and especially was proud of her nephew, Jackson.
She is survived by her parents, Mike and April; two brothers, Sean (Brianna) and Zachary (Marissa); sister, Kayla (Troy); nephew, Jackson all of Evansville; grandparents, Doris Lystrom and Donald and Sharon Henneman all of Evansville and Larry and Patricia Sweeney of Marysville, Washington; and by numerous relatives and friends. Rhiley was preceded in death by her grandpa, Palmer Lystrom.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church in Evansville
Visitation: Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
