Phyllis L. (Aune) Haugen, 81, of Fergus Falls died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Pioneer Suites.
She was born May 5, 1933 in Fergus Falls, the daughter of Clarence R. and Caroline M. (Homes) Aune. She was confirmed and baptized at First Lutheran Church. She attended school in Fergus Falls. Phyllis volunteered at the Eagles Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. She was a member of both for many years. She coordinated banquets and wedding receptions at the Eagles Ship. She was also employed at Walmart as a salesperson for 12 years. She belonged to United Church of Christ and also Stavanger Lutheran Church. On June 26, 1950 she married J. Delbert Schreiber. He passed away on February 12, 1973. On August 30, 1975, Phyllis was united in marriage to Elder M. Haugen. Elder passed away on August 10, 1992.
Phyllis is survived by 6 sons: Donald (Diane) Schreiber of Fergus Falls, Timothy (Paulette) Schreiber of Audubon, Jeffrey (Judy) Schreiber of Battle Lake, Richard (Cindy) Schreiber of Fergus Falls, James (Gloria) Schreiber, Jr. of Fergus Falls, and Jon (Shelly) Schreiber of New Castle, CO; 2 daughters: Carol (Eugene) Taylor of Fergus Falls and Barbara (Brian) Fick of Clitherall; 15 grandchildren: Darrell (Tammie) Schreiber, Jill (Jason) Davis, Joe (Kristi) Schreiber, Justin (Abby) Schreiber, Jay (Jen) Schreiber, Tessa (David) Sagerhorn, Keri (Paul) Buchholz, Michael Schreiber, Jaclyn (Matt) Korby, Zachary Fick, Lindsey Fick, Jacob (Savanna) Schreiber, Derek (Emma) Schreiber, Collin Schreiber and Lillian Schreiber; 22 great-grandchildren: Devin Schreiber, Colby Schreiber, Camden Schreiber, Ava Schreiber, Easton Schreiber, Pat Schreiber, Chris Schreiber, Ashley Schreiber, Braydon Davis, Hallie Schreiber, Trey Schreiber, Jordan Sillerud, Dillon Sillerud, Aaron Sagerhorn, Justis Sagerhorn, Chance Buchholz, Carson Buchholz, Taylor Buchholz, Nolan Korby, Kyle Korby, Payton Christensen, Sadie Schreiber and one on the way!; 3 step-grandchildren: Tammy Weiss, Charles Weiss and Andrew Gustad; 9 step-great-grandchildren: Mckale Schreiber, Noelle Davis, Jaide Davis, Kelsey Weiss, Skylar Peter, Daisy Gustad, Aiden Gustad, Indiana Weiss and Sierra Weiss; sisters-in-law: Carol Aune and Donna Dube; many nieces and nephews and Haugen Family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a sister, Colleen Fesenfeld; 2 brothers: James Aune and C. Ray Aune, Jr. and 2 nephews: David Aune and David Anderson.
Visitation: Wednesday from 1 to 2 PM at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls.
