Phillip Eugene Barry, 86, of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, passed away at his home (Park Gardens) under Vivie hospice care, surrounded by family on September 26, 2025.

Phil was born on October 23rd, 1939, in Battle Lake, to Paul Barry and Margret (Swenson) Barry. He graduated from Battle Lake High School in 1957.

On July 7th, 1962, Phil married Barbara Ann (Herness) Barry, at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Dalton, Minnesota. He worked at Anning and Johnson until he became disabled from an injury.

Phil’s greatest joys were found outdoors and visits from his family and great friend Charlie Ebbighausen. He loved wood working, raising pheasants and wild turkeys, ice fishing, and hunting.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Barbara; parents; mother-in-law; his daughter, Kimmy; his brother, Dave and his wife, Sandy; Duane and his wife Helen.

Phil is survived by children, Alan (Karen) Barry, Todd (Lori) Barry, Trevor (Connie) Barry, Brent (Tara) Barry, Stephanie Page; Grandchildren, Heather (Tyler) Schmidt, Beau Barry, Marlee (Dylan) Miller, Brody Barry, Dallas (Ashlyn) Barry, Ashley Barry, Abby Barry, Luke Barry, Sophie Barry, Emma (Conor) Swenson, Austin Barry, and Carson Barry; numerous great grandchildren.

Phil will be remembered for his sense of humor and numerous stories.

The family wants to extend a special thanks to the staff at Park Garden’s.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-3 pm, Friday, October 3, 2025, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, MN.
