Patricia Demo, 79, of Barrett, died Thursday, December 24, 2015, at the Barrett Care Center.
She was born on March 31, 1936, in Morris, MN, the daughter of Frederick and June (Breckenridge) Cudrio. In her childhood years she enjoyed spending time with her grandparents at Lake Minnewaska. Pat graduated from Morris High School.
On September 27, 1954, Patricia Cudrio of Morris married the love of her life James Lorin Demo, while he was on leave from the U.S. Army. They've been blessed with five children, 18 grandchildren & 28 great grandchildren. The family moved to Minneapolis in 1957.
In 1965, the family moved to California away from the Minnesota weather. They returned to the Stevens County area after Jim's father's death in 1971. Pat and Jim moved to the Twin cities in 1977, until his retirement in 1989, where they resided in Barrett until both their passing's.
Pat's hobbies included fishing, deer hunting, camping and her Casino trips to South Dakota. She had a love of animals, especially her four legged companions. Pat enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and her many road trips with her mom, June.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Fred and June; her loving husband of 57 years, James "Jim" Demo; two siblings, Fred Cudrio and Libby Petersen; a son-in-law, Curt Weinreis, three grandchildren along with numerous relatives.
Survivors include her five children, Lori Riley of Graceville, MN, Lynn (Paul) Koenen of Clara City, MN, Jeanie (Keith) Maxwell of North Branch, Jeff of Hoffman and Jackie of Fergus Falls; adopted by heart daughters, Barb (Clyde) Laurent & Beth (Bruce) Anderson; 18 grandchildren & 28 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Service: 1 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 20490 480th Ave, Morris, MN.
Visitation: one hour prior to the service.
Clergy: Pastor Jesse Kneeland
Interment: Summitt Cemetery, Morris, MN at a later date.
