Pamela Renae (Foss) Maier, 56, of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, passed away on September 2, 2026, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls from complications of pneumonia.
Pam was born on January 18, 1970, at Lake Region Hospital to Roger and Diane (Vallevand) Foss. She graduated from Barnesville High School and went on to earn her beautician license.
Pam worked as a waitress and cook at several local restaurants, including the Eagle Cafe, Rothsay Truck Stop, and Lakeway Express in Fergus Falls.
Pam had a great love for animals and children, especially her nieces and nephews, who held a very special place in her heart. She was a talented piano player and loved to sing karaoke. She took great pride in being left-handed, loved her Mountain Dew, and was an avid reader. A devoted Stephen King fan, she read every book he wrote at least twice over. She enjoyed camping with her family, playing Yahtzee with friends, and spending time with the people she loved.
Pam leaves behind her husband, Jeff Maier; her mother, Diane Foss; her siblings, Cheri Foss, Amanda (Alex) Pop, and Nick (Jenna) Foss; and her nieces and nephews, Jayde Foss, Levi (Trinity) Foss, Barrett Dilbeck, Kirk Foss, Adrian (Erin) Pop, Aevah Pop, Brooklyn Nygaard, and Beckett Foss. She was also a great-aunt to Colter Foss and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of Baby Pop. She also leaves behind many cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and other extended family members who were an important part of her life.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bernard and Betty Vallevand and Esten and Adeline Foss; her father, Roger Foss; her brother, Kirk Foss; and her nephew, Angel Pop.
Pam was one of a kind. She brought her own personality, humor, and warmth to the lives of the people around her. She will be deeply missed, but the memories she made with her family and friends will continue to bring smiles and laughter for years to come.
A celebration of Pam’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Pebble Lake Picnic Shelter, 2300 Pebble Lake Golf Dr., Fergus Falls, MN. With an extended get-together memorial at Delagoon Park in Fergus Falls, MN, to take place all day Saturday, September 19th.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Lake Region Hospital for their care of Pam and her family. A special thank-you goes to her neighbor and friend, Paul, for always looking out for Pam and making sure she was taken care of.
Pam will be loved, remembered, and missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
