Norman M. Buseth, 79, of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, February 20, 2014, one day before his 80th birthday. He died at home in the care of Hospice, surrounded by his loving family
Norman was born February 21, 1934, to Nels J. and Bessie M. (Snobeck) Buseth, in Eagle Lake Township. He grew up and went to school in Ashby, MN, graduating from Ashby High School in 1953. In November 1953 he joined the US Air Force, serving here in the US and also in Athens, Greece. He was honorably discharged in November 1957. Norman was employed in Fergus Falls after his time in the service, where he met his wife Judy. They were married January 9, 1960 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Elizabeth, MN. Norm worked as a mechanic for several service stations in Fergus Falls. He managed Hoot Lake Pure Oil Station before becoming employed by Ottertail Power Company at the Hoot Lake Plant for over 30 years. After retiring from Ottertail Power he spent much of his time in his workshop, doing woodwork and making and repairing pool sticks. He was very talented at this. He enjoyed attending his grandson's sporting events. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and the Ashby American Legion.
Preceding him in death were his parents, sister Eleanora Sebesta and brother Neil Buseth
Norm is survived by his loving family which includes his wife of 54 years, Judy of Fergus Falls; sons, Holly Buseth of Wadena, Blaine (Terry) Buseth and Kurt Buseth of Fergus Falls; daughter, Pamela (Marc) Oelslager of Vergas; sister, May Hodges; six grandsons, Tyler (Ashley), Ryan, Anthony, Blayze, Colton Buseth and Seth Oelslager; two step-granddaughters, Tara Samp (Jamie Gaarsland) and Jami (Rick) Benhardus; great-grandchildren, Loren, Jordan, Jaydyn, Taylor, Jaeden, Gavin and Chase; and many relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: 11 AM, Monday, March 3, 2014 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Fergus Falls, MN
Visitation: 4-6 PM, Sunday, with a Prayer Service at 5:30 at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls - and one hour prior to the service at the church
