Mary Langlie, 61, of Evansville, Minnesota passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.
Mary Lee was born December 25, 1962 in Alexandria, Minnesota to Virgil and Colleen (Tilleskjor) Neterval in Alexandria, Minnesota, the youngest of 5 children.
Education was a cornerstone of Mary's life as she graduated from Evansville High School in 1981. She continued her academic pursuits at Fergus Falls Community College and the University of Minnesota, Morris.
Mary's life was a tapestry of beautiful moments woven with threads of kindness and joy. Her career was a testament to her nurturing spirit as she devoted herself to the students at Brandon/Evansville schools. Whether assisting the special needs children in the classroom, being a paraprofessional to help the teachers, or she was spending the day in the office, Mary left an indelible mark on all she encountered.
Beyond her professional endeavors and educational achievements, Mary found solace in her hobbies and interests. Her early fascination with the piano blossomed into a lifelong love affair with music. She lent her musical talents as piano accompanist to her high school choir, many churches and vocalists. She also enjoyed tending to her flower garden, bringing her immense joy and inner peace.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Mary will remember her unwavering faith, genuine love for family and friends, and her profound impact on all who crossed her path. She embodied a life well-lived and a life defined by love and selflessness.
The legacy Mary leaves behind is one of inspiration and love, a reminder to us all of the power of kindness and compassion. As she journeys beyond this world, may we carry forth her light in our hearts.
Mary's presence will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched. She will be missed by her husband Kevin Langlie; children Josh (Noelle) Langlie, Hunter Langlie, and Caitlin Langlie; along with grandsons Brody and Lane Langlie and Owen Kloehn; sisters Nancy Neterval and Kathy Holtberg; brothers Daniel (JoAnn) Neterval, San Tan Valley, AZ and Joseph (Vicki) Neterval; devoted friend Annette Ohren and second mom, Marlys Englund. They will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
