Marvin Eugene Krueger

Marvin Eugene Krueger, 90, of Fergus Falls, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Maplewood Manor in Elbow Lake. 

Marvin Eugene Krueger was born on April 3, 1934, in Shenford Township near Lisbon, North Dakota the son of Allen and Verda (Schmidt) Krueger. He attended rural school in Casey Township. Marvin farmed for 5 years before becoming employed at the Grand Forks International Harvester Company. He also drove bulk truck and worked for Rane’s Motor Company in Lisbon as a parts and service technician.

Marvin entered the U.S. Naval Reserves where he served for 8 years.

On October 6, 1973, Marv married Caryl Ruth Plant (formerly from England) at the United Methodist Church in Sheldon, North Dakota. The couple resided near Sheldon and McLeod where they were engaged in farming. Marv worked in Wahpeton at Loll’s Auto & Implement Company in the parts department. They lived in Doran, Minnesota and also Breckenridge where they operated their own business, Auto Repair and Machine Shop. Marv and Caryl then moved to Fergus Falls in 1980 where Marv was employed at Ebersville Implement Company as a mechanic and also at Fergus Motors as a mechanic and in the parts department. Marvin and Caryl owned and operated an adult foster home for 10 years in Fergus Falls. In 1989, Marv began working for the City of Fergus Falls. He later worked in facility maintenance department at Park Gardens Senior Living. The couple enjoyed camping over the years in various locations. They also liked to visit with family and friends.

Marvin was a member of Woodland Baptist Church of Fergus Falls.

His is preceded in death by his parents and sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Arnold Roorda, brother Harold and brother and sister-in-law Dennis and Jean Krueger.

Marvin is survived by Caryl, his wife of 50 years, sister-in law Alice Marie Krueger, sister-in-law Brenda (Geoff) Gill, brother-in-law Roger (Shirley) Plant, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be Friday, July 19, 2024 at 2:00pm with a visitation one hour prior at the Woodland Baptist Church in Fergus Falls.
