Marie A. Toso

Marie Ann Toso, 40, of Rothsay, Minnesota, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

Marie was born April 2nd, 1986, in Fergus Falls MN, to parents Dwight and Christine. Marie graduated from Rothsay Highschool in 2004. She later married the love of her life and best friend Eric, together they have two children Gavin and Khia. Her love for horses started at a young age. She had many interests and hobbies including gardening, fishing, going on walks with the dogs, cooking with the kids and reading and discussing her bible.

Marie was a very kind and caring soul. She had a unique talent for comforting those around her and was very easy to talk to. She was an instant friend to everyone she met. Her kindness truly made an impact on everyone she came in contact with. Other than God, she always put her family first. With her selfless nature she always took care of everyone else before herself. She was a very happy and proud mother and for Eric, the lord could not have sent a better wife. Even when she wasn’t doing well herself, her first response was to ask others how they were doing. She was an extremely hard worker and made friends with everyone she worked alongside. She valued very much the friendships she made managing at both Sunmart and Walmart. Towards the end, she enjoyed watching the birds, decorating the front of the house with flowers, going on “pup cup” runs and taking mini road trips with her husband while they discussed scripture. She loved watching her kids do what they loved, especially watching them trap shoot. She was so proud and beamed with joy every time her son Gavin showed her a new finished drawing. She was very excited for her daughter Khia to graduate this year and continue her journey into ministry, a journey she looked up to very much. She will be greatly missed and her family is comforted knowing she is no longer struggling and is at peace in the arms of Jesus.

Proceeding in her death are her parents; Father Dwight Harlow, Mother Christine Eveland, Brother, Darrin Harlow, Step Father Mark Eveland, Grandparents John Johnson, Beverly and Clayton Abbot, Robert Harlow and Uncle Dean Harlow.

Surviving Marie; is her Husband Eric, Son Gavin, Daughter Khia. Her Brother; Jesse (Nallely) Harlow, Grandmother; Beverly Johnson, In laws; Keary (Sue) Toso, Sister-in-law; Amanda (Jon) Kretchman, and Nieces and Nephews; Romeo, Leium, Charlie, Alya, Onya, Sophia and Kira.

A Memorial Service in Marie's honor will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the Church of the Nazarene in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. There will be a visitation one hour prior.
