Margie Tenney, 78, of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, December 31, 2017 at her residence under the care of her family and LB Hospice.
She was born July 25, 1939 in Leaf Mountain Township of Otter Tail County to Henry and Isabel (Klemek) Bursken. She attended school in Battle Lake and Vining. After her schooling, Margie worked as a babysitter for a family and was also employed at the City Bakery and Woolworth’s in Fergus Falls. It was at the City Bakery that she met her future husband. Margie married the love of her life, Delwin Tenney, on December 29, 1958 in Webster, SD. The couple made their home in Fergus Falls. In 1968, Delwin and Margie were blessed with a daughter.
Margie enjoyed sewing, knitting, Hardanger embroidery and helping her children and grandchildren with their projects. She loved her family more than anything and her grandchildren were the apples of her eye.
Margie is survived by her daughter, Denyce (Jason) Comstock of Fergus Falls; three grandchildren: Justin (Josey) Beyer, Jenna (Mason) Hegstad and Chloe Comstock all of Fergus Falls; four great-grandchildren: Savannah, Colby, Maverick and Chase; two sisters: Geraldine Woodard and Rita (Jerry) Irons both of Parkers Prairie; a brother, Don (Deb) Bursken of Appleton and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Delwin in 2012 and a brother-in-law, Donald Woodard.
