Margaret Condiff

February 4, 1942 — June 24, 2025

Battle Lake

On June 24, 2025, at her home surrounded by family, Marge went home to be with the Lord after an 18-year battle with Leukemia.

She was born to Peggy and Bernard Kuyava in Little Falls, MN. She attended elementary school in Swanville, MN and then St Francis High School in Little Falls. After graduation she attended Business School in Minneapolis.

May 7, 1962, she married Jerry Condiff where they resided in Minneapolis until they moved to Battle Lake (God’s Country) in 1975. They had one son, Richard.

Marge was very active in Our Lady of the Lake Church in Battle Lake. She was a eucharistic minister for 36 years, was the Sunday School coordinator and started the Prayer Chain. She was a respite volunteer for Lakeland Hospice, was active with Relay for Life and the Henning-Battle Lake Christian Women’s Club. She volunteered with Cub Scouts and Project Challenge at the Battle Lake School. Marge enjoyed all holidays, but her favorite was Christmas (and did she love to decorate for it and other holidays!!) She loved to host multiple Christmas dinners/parties, along with dinners and potlucks for various holidays or just because! She greatly enjoyed cooking and baking. She also really enjoyed the music of Celine Dion and the Gospel and Country music of Elvis Presley.

Marge and Jerry were married for 63 years. They loved life and did everything together including traveling to 49 states and 9 countries. Marge’s greatest time was spent with her son and grandchildren. They were her lifeline. If they were ok, she was ok. She was a selfless, loving mom and grandma. She was like a June Cleaver but so much more! After working many positions in the cities, she was the office manager for their business, Building Operations Consultants for over 30 years.

She is survived by her husband Jerry, son Richard, grandchildren Zachary, Quinn, and Avaya, daughter-in-law Misty, sisters Barbara (Larry) Hammack of Dumfries, VA, Dorothy Lundgren of Shakopee, MN, sisters-in-law Sharon Condiff of Park Rapids, MN, Sue (Carl) Nippert of Eagan, MN, and Nancy Condiff of Loveland, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Peggy Kuyava, brother Norman Kuyava, sisters Marcella Williams and Rosemary Stiller, and brothers-in-law Tom Condiff, Ken Lundgren and Herman Stiller, and father and mother-in-law Merrill and Mildred Condiff. She is survived by and was preceded in death by nieces, nephews, other relatives and very good friends. She wanted to thank her family and friends who walked this cancer journey with her for always being there, visiting, calling, caring, praying, laughing and loving. She stated that is what made it possible to endure it. She wishes the Lord’s blessing upon them and that she was very blessed to have such wonderful family and friends.

Burial will take place after Mass at Lakewood Cemetery in Battle Lake. She would prefer memorials to go to Lakeland Hospice (now Vivie Hospice).

A Memorial Mass will be Monday, June 30th, at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Battle Lake.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 PM, with 7:30 PM Prayer Service and Sharing of Memories, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Battle Lake and one hour prior to the service at the church.
