Manford Brosowske

Manford Brosowske, 96, of Fergus Falls, died on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the Broen Home.

Manford Wayne was born on April 17, 1925, in Placerville, California, the son of Paul Albert and Bessie Alma (Gray) Brosowske.  He graduated from Antelope High School in Barney, North Dakota where he ran in track and received 1st place in the broadjump. He later graduated from the Wahpeton School of Science in 1945 with a degree in Electrical Technology. Manford took 1st in the state in crop judging at the Valley City Winter Show.

On November 15, 1950, he married Lois Goolsbey in Lidgerwood, North Dakota. The couple were the parents of two children Ronald and Shirley. The family lived in Barney and Colfax on the family farm. Manford worked as an electrician contractor on airplanes for 20 years at McDonald Douglas Aircraft in California. He also was self employed as an electrical contractor where he worked in a government ammunitions plant. On April 14, 1968, he saw the book, “They speak with other tongues” on a library shelf and it led him to receive Christ. Lois passed away February 16, 1972.

On May 26, 1972, he married Marilyn Smith at the Nazarene Church in Alhambra, California.

His hobbies included fishing, gardening, and enjoying sharing the Word in various nursing homes, the Long Beach Rescue Mission, and the Orange County Jail in California. Over the years, Manford has led many bible studies and was a 4-H leader.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Lois; his wife, Marilyn; a son, Ronald Brosowske and a grandson, Scott Brosowske in 2012.

He is survived by his daughter, Shirley (Anthony) Millan of Colorado; a stepdaughter, Cindy (Eugene) Bennett of Glendale, Arizona; three grandchildren and several great grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon Berg of Aurora and Mae Durensky of Cypress, California; a brother, Gary (Betty) of Brea, California along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to family.

Graveside Service: 1:00 P.M., Friday October 29, 2021 at Oak Grove Cenetery, Fergus Falls.

Clergy: Pastor Norm Thomsen

Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Falls
