Lance V Drexler, 57, passed away April 17, 2026, in Battle Lake, Minnesota.
Lance was born April 3, 1969, to parents Lloyal and Carol "June" (Elder-Mannie) Drexler in Minneapolis, MN. He attended Crest View Elementary School in Brooklyn Park before he moved with his family to Elbow Lake. He attended Agnes Lynne elementary school before moving on to Elbow Lake Wendell
High School in Elbow Lake.
After High School graduation, Lance moved to Crystal, MN and worked at the Target while taking photography classes. A couple years later, Lance decided he missed the county life and moved back to Elbow Lake where he worked at Cosmos International for 10+ years. Eventually he moved to his farm place by Battle Lake and was employed by Nelson Brothers/Keifers in Fergus Falls. Lance continued working there for over 25 years, up until the day of his passing.
Lance was a past board member and president of the Grant County Humane Society. He was a great asset to the Humane Society and helped innumerable people foster many animals in need while fostering and owning many animals himself.
Lance's hobbies included running his farm where he raised his horses, pigs, beloved dogs, cats, waterfowl, chickens, peacocks, exotic birds, and more. He also rescued many animals including raccoons and skunks. Lance enjoyed horseback riding, he would ride his own horses often and would also travel to south Dakota and Medora to go horseback riding. While in South Dakota he would keep an eye out for wild mustang to look at. In his free time, he would attend animal auctions, flea markets, visiting wolf center in Ely, MN.
Lance is preceded in death by his parents Lloyal and June Drexler; nephew, Prestin Drexler; niece, Sharilyn (Lustig) Nugent; uncle, Phillip Mannie; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Peterson) Drexler; brother-in-law, Jimmy Peterson; grandparents, Virgil and Alice (Maxfield) Mannie, Leslie and Dorothy Elder, Frank and Amanda Jane (Shafer) Drexler; and numerous other family members.
Lance is survived by his siblings, Jane (David) Drexler Bocksell, Shane (Denette) Drexler, Sharon Peterson, Frank (special friend Betty) Drexler, Wally (Julie) Drexler; nieces and nephews, Jaden June Hammer, Josh (Krista) Hammer, Jordan (Laraya) Hammer, Justin (Jessie) Hammer, Kirstin (Josh) Drexler, MaKenzie (Zach) Drexler, Missy (Steve) Drexler Ranalls, Dawn (Josh) Drexler Reay, Troy Lustig, Amanda Drexler; great-nieces and -nephews, Jase, Jazmine, Joseph, and Jamison Hammer, Liam, Fiona, and Nico Hammer, Teagen, and Liam Nash, Kinley, Brighton, and Harper Moen, Julian, Ellis, Harley, and Nolan Mark, Jordyn, Stevie Ranalls, Sarah (Rick) Battle, Samantha Nugent, Azaria Drexler, Natasha (Bryan) Hedrick, Corey, and Trevor Lustig; great-aunt, Helen Maxfield of Missouri; and numerous cousins.
Per Lances wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
