Keith Muchow Jr.

May 30, 1948 — January 26, 2019

Fergus Falls

Keith Muchow Jr., 70, of Fergus Falls entered his eternal home on Saturday, January 26, 2019, in the comfort of his home with family by his side.

Keith Steven Muchow was born on May 30, 1948, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the son of Keith and Dolores (Drager) Muchow.  He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. He graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1966, In the fall of 1966 Keith furthered his education at the Fergus Falls Junior College where he played baseball for the FFJC Spartans. Keith entered the Army Reserves preceding college. On Christmas Eve 1970 Keith married his beautiful bride, Sandra Faye Harmon, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. Keith played baseball many years for the Fergus Falls Red Sox. Keith started his working career at Raymond Motors, which was later sold to Hyman Freightways. In 1994 Keith was promoted to District Manager, where he remained until it closed in 1998.  In 1999, Keith went to work for Evavold-Delzer Construction until he retired. Keith had many passions in his life.  He thoroughly enjoyed coaching his children, and grandchildren in any sport they were involved in. He coached and played slow- pitched softball for various teams throughout the years.  Including teams that his sons and grandkids were a part of. His favorite cheer would be " Rock n Roll". He was still coaching the Ride Hard slow pitch softball team last summer, of which he was so very proud. He enjoyed hunting, especially the annual Deer hunts with the boys, and the fishing trips with the "good ol boys" to Canada. Keith had a love for the sun.  He enjoyed sitting on the deck to "catch some rays" as soon as the weather hit the upper 60's. He looked forward to our annual Family and Friends vacations at Lolls Resort and later Ten Mile Lake Resort. His favorite times at the lake involved making sand castles with the kids, riding the teeter totter with his daughter, playing catch with his sons, walks with the grandkids around the campground, skipping rock contests with the grandkid's, and competing with his granddaughters to see who could get the darkest tan and  picking the glass out of the sand so no one would step on it.  Lastly he enjoyed the nightly campfires and camp chants, YELLOW BIRD! Keith was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.  He enjoyed company (but not during Vikings games), and dancing and singing in the kitchen with family and friends.  He also enjoyed tending to his flowers in his backyard and parents graves. Through all of Keith's passions in life, the most important of them all were his grandchildren.  Not one day would go by that he didn't boast to someone about each and everyone of them.  He was a proud proud Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Sandee; three children, Kelly (Tammy) Muchow of Underwood, Kevin (Vicky) Muchow of Fergus Falls and Kiffany (Joe) Bruechert of Wahpeton; grandchildren, Brady, Brendon, Kailey (Devin), Andrew, Amber, Abigail, Isaiah, Ethan, and Alex; one great-grandchild, Paisley; aunts, Evelyn Wellbrock, Phyllis Leeman and Norma Thom; uncles, Sam (Mary) Muchow and Jordean (Linda) Listoe; brother in law: Michael (Diane Harmon of Albuquerque, NM, sister in law: Linda (Kevin) Marvin of Brooklyn Park, MN; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.  Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Keith Sr. and Dolores Muchow and an infant brother, Fred Muchow.
