Julie Lindsay

Julie Ann Lindsay, 65, of Rothsay, Minnesota, passed away on September 26, 2026, at FarmStead Living in Moorhead, Minnesota. She battled with Alzheimer’s for several years. She may have forgotten, but her family will always remember her for her kind heart, her faith, and her devotion to her family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 17th, 2026 at 1pm at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.

Julie was born on July 22, 1961, in Willmar, Minnesota, to Bill and Jeanette (Dahlberg) Geer. She grew up in New London and attended New London-Spicer High School, graduating in 1979. She continued her education at Willmar Community College from 1979-1980 and attended North Central University, earning a degree in Behavioral Science and Counseling in 1986. In 1983, Julie met the love of her life Bret Lindsay at North Central and the two later married on November 1, 1986. They were blessed with three kids.

Julie’s working career involved banking, para professional, accounting, and 36 years of ministry. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, music, and being with family.

In 2019, Julie was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Despite the long battle with the disease, she never lost her love for the Lord. Not once during this time, did she lose her positive attitude and love for those around her. She loved being a wife, mom, grandmother, and aunt.

Julie is survived by her husband, Bret Lindsay of Rothsay, Minnesota; her children Paden (Bailey) Lindsay of Henning, Minnesota, Paige (Marc) Boese, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Parker (Savannah) Lindsay, of Fergus Falls, Minnesota; her sister Laurie Seay of Fergus Falls, Minnesota; sister-in-law Jane Geer of New London, Minnesota; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law LeRoy and Maggie Lindsay; Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Julie and Erik Kari; 3 grand children, Rylee and Sawyer Boese, and Joseph Lindsay; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Jeanette Geer, and brother Dale Geer. Maternal grandparents, Frank and Lois Geer and George and Florence Dahlberg. Extended grandparents Dallas and Vivian Lindsay. Redwin and Gertrude Sampson.
