Judy Lucille Sheldon

September 6, 1959 — April 30, 2026

Judy Lucille Sheldon, 66, of Woodbury, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, April 30, 2026.  There will be a graveside memorial service in Judy's honor at 2p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Knollwood Memorial Gardens.  After the graveside service, there will be a Celebration of Judy's Life at the American Legion in Fergus Falls.

Judy was born on September 6, 1959, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, to Perrie and Lucille (Perkins) Sheldon. She was raised in Fergus Falls and graduated from Fergus Falls High School. She continued her education locally, earning her Bachelors of Applied Sciences degree from Fergus Falls Community College.

After her time in Fergus Falls, Judy moved to the Twin Cities area, where she built a long and dedicated career as an administrative professional with 3M, retiring in 2022. In addition to her professional career, Judy spent many years working during tax seasons with H&R Block/Tax Advisors, where she formed lasting connections and friendships.

Judy was affectionately known as “Auntie Judy” to all who knew her, and to the youngest members of the family, she was lovingly called “Auntie Chewey.” Though she did not have children of her own, she had a deep love for kids and played an active and cherished role in the lives of her nieces and nephews. She was a constant presence at family gatherings, bringing warmth, laughter, and love to every occasion.

A talented and passionate crafter, Judy spent countless hours cross-stitching, crocheting, needlepointing, and knitting. She took great pride in creating a special handmade piece for every new addition to the Sheldon family—whether an infant outfit, a crocheted blanket, or a personalized birth sampler. Among her many creations, she even completed a full-size cross-stitched Monopoly game board for her brother’s family—a true testament to her patience, creativity, and love.

Judy is survived by her brothers, Loren Sheldon and Keith (Mary Anne) Sheldon; sisters-in-law, Kathryn Sheldon and Tammy Sheldon; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Mark (Colette) Sheldon, Kyle (Tanya) Sheldon, Todd Sheldon, Yvette (Tony) Davis, Jennifer (James) Loy, Andrew Sheldon, Abbie (Ben) Kiser, Jayson Sheldon, and Max (Megan) Sheldon, along with many great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Perrie and Lucille Sheldon, and her brothers, Rev. Marion Milo Sheldon and Jay Sheldon.

Judy’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
