Jerome Waskosky

Jerome “Mark” Waskosky age 74, of Wendell, MN passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24, 2026, in Amarillo Texas, surrounded by family. A celebration of Mark’s life will be scheduled at a later date.

Mark was born on March 12, 1952, in Wadena, Minnesota to Helen and Theodore “Ted” Waskosky. Mark grew up primarily in Erdahl, Minnesota and attended Elbow Lake High School. Mark spent many years working alongside his father and brother in the family business, Waskosky Well Drilling.

In 1989, Mark Moved to Fergus Falls after graduating from Alexandria Technical College to pursue a career in law enforcement. He proudly served and protected the Fergus Falls community as a police officer from 1989 until 2006. During his years of service, Mark wore Badge No. 121 and was a member of Post No. 10302.

Beyond his career in law enforcement, Mark was an accomplished truck driver and owner of his own hot-shot trucking company, JMW Services. He also had a heart for serving others and participated in mission trips, including trips to Russia and Ecuador.

After his retirement, Mark made his home in Logan, New Mexico. While living there, he attended Divine Connection Church, where he found a welcoming community and formed many meaningful friendships. The members of the church quickly became like family to Mark, and he cherished the time he spent with them.

Mark had a deep love for the Lord and a generous heart for those around him. He was an avid fisherman. Above all else, he treasured his family. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose kindness and caring spirit touched many lives.

Mark is survived by Shedd (brother) and Kris Waskosky, PhiLore (sister) Griffith, Tami (sister-in-law) Hawkenson, Jason (son) Endreson and Kim Erickson, Sherry (daughter) and Jonathan Cedeno, Karry (daughter) and Greg Hedman, Ben (son) Waskosky and Jessica Williams, and Mary (daughter) and Joshua Fandrich. Grandchildren: Tyler, Christopher, and Andrew; Aaron and Avery; Amber, Heather, Alyssa, and Jason; Brynn Hazel, Eli, and Coral; Kadyn, Alayah, and Kyrie; Great grandchildren: Ruth, Everly, Maelynn, Maverick, and another great-grandchild baby boy soon to arrive. Mark was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Helen Waskosky, his brother Tee Waskosky, and brother-in-law Marvin Griffith.

Mark’s legacy of faith, service, and love for his family will live on in all who knew and loved him.
