Janice Wold

Janice M. Wold, 85, of Fergus Falls, MN, died on Monday, December 16, 2019, at Pioneer Care in Fergus Falls.

Janice Marlene was born on November 10, 1934, in Elizabeth Township, the daughter of Roy and Frieda (Boeder) Lother.  She was baptized and confirmed at First United Church of Christ.  Janice attended Jefferson Elementary and graduated Salutation in 1952, from Washington Senior High School in Fergus Falls.

On January 17,1953, she married Raymond Wold at First United Church of Christ in Fergus Falls. The couple were the parents of Steven.  In 1953, they moved to the house they built together on Vernon Avenue and Janice lived there until 2008. Janice worked at Bergen’s Floral & Greenhouse in Fergus Falls.  She moved into Mill Street in 2011.

Janice enjoyed gardening, flowers, baking and music. She sang for many funerals and was active with church choir for 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Frieda; husband, Raymond Wold in 1975; a son, Steven Wold in 2008 and a sister, Leola Lother.

Janice is survived by do-it-all friend, Scott Lehner; cousins, George Luebke and Debbie Samuelson, old friends and residents and staff of Mill Street who became her family.

A special thanks to longtime hairstylist and friend, Ellen Sehm for many years of 9 a.m. appointments. Blessed be the memory of Janice Wold.
