James Matthew Lindenfelser, 72, of Erhard, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.
He was born July 21, 1950 in Minneapolis, MN to William and Mary (Anibas) Lindenfelser. He graduated from Elk River High School in 1969. After his graduation, he joined the U.S. Army and served from 1970 – 72. He was a proud Vietnam veteran. He was united in marriage to Terry Craig on August 25, 1973 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Jim worked as an iron worker and was employed in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
Jim was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Maine and was active in many church activities. He was also a member of the Underwood American Legion and the Friends of Maplewood. He loved fishing and having people over for fish fries at his lake place. He also loved hunting, bowling, his garden, and golfing with friends. Most importantly, he enjoyed the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Jim was well known for being kind, caring, and making sure everyone around him was having a good time. Everyone loved his contagious laugh and witty sense of humor. He was truly the best husband, father, and grandpa anyone could ask for.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary and his brothers, Lloyd, Donald, and Vernon. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Terry, his children, Kari Lindenfelser, Nicole (Ivan) Greenlund, Brent (Meghan) Lindenfelser and his 8 grandchildren: Madison, Karter, Finley, Claire, Annika, Gretta, Hawken, and Kasin, and 4 brothers: Jerome, Robert, William, and Thomas.
Visitation: Monday, October 10, 2022 from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM at the St. James Catholic Church in Maine Township and resuming for one hour prior to the service.
