James Rennaker

James K. Rennaker, 63, of Battle Lake, formerly of Minneapolis, MN, died on Monday, June 2, 2025, at the Battle Lake Good Samaritan Home after a long courageous battle with prostate cancer.

James Kirk was born on February 27, 1962, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Darroll and Charlotte (Johnson) Rennaker. He graduated from Little Falls High School and pursued some post-secondary schooling. He enlisted in the US Navy where he was honorably discharged as an E-6 after faithfully serving his country.

James served as a teacher at NEI College of Technology and Dunwoody and most recently worked as an electrical engineer at Medtronics in St. Paul, MN.

James enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports and travelling. He loved to hang out with friends and was the life of the party.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Gesino of Battle Lake; children, Awren, Bryan (Abby) and Roxanne (Wyatt); a grandchild, Mason; three siblings, Jerry (Duana), Linda (Mike) and Daniel (Joy); along with many beloved relatives and great friends.

A graveside service will take place at the MN Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. Funeral arrangements entrusted with the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home of Battle Lake.
