Jacob Scott

Jacob Scott, 23, of Battle Lake , died Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Lakeland Hospice House in Fergus Falls .

Jacob was born February 12, 1987 in Fergus Falls , Minnesota to Greg and Mary (Quernemoen) Scott of rural Battle Lake . He grew up on his parents’ farm and was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church of Battle Lake . He had a strong faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Jacob attended school in Battle Lake , graduating in 2005. He attended Minnesota State Community and Technical College and had been employed at Northern Contours and Viking Coca-Cola. He had recently completed training to become a CNA. Jacob enjoyed playing guitar, outdoors particularly camping and hiking.

Jacob is survived by his parents, Greg and Mary Scott; sisters Heather and Cara, all of Battle Lake; grandparents, Bernard and Shirley Scott and Russell and Joyce Quernemoen, all of Fergus Falls; aunts and uncles, Sarah and Jerry Juven, Katie and Mark Johnson, Gary and Linda Quernemoen, Jon and Joni Quernemoen, Eric and Teresa Quernemoen, Joy Quernemoen and Rene’ Quernemoen; many cousins, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Timothy.

Memorials are preferred to Lakeland Hospice House or Cancer Care & Research Center .
