Irene C. Bergrud, 94, of Fergus Falls, died on Monday, February 27, 2017, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.
Irene Clarice was born on June 11, 1922, in Aurdal Township, the daughter of Alfred and Annie (Halverson) Bergrud. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and attended District 143 Country School in Aurdal.
Irene spent her life on the family farm working beside her family and performing any task that was needed. During her time on the farm she would always raise a big garden and sell her produce to the many neighbors in the area. She was a member of Aurdal Lutheran Church.
Her hobbies included gardening, scrapbooking, watching wildlife and living the simple life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Annie and a brother, Milford Bergrud.
She is survived by a brother, Walter Bergrud of Fergus Falls; along with numerous family and friends.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 2, 2017, at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
