Howard Brosowske, 95 of Fergus Falls died Sunday, December 13, 2015, at the Lake Region Health Care in Fergus Falls.
Howard was born on November 25, 1920, in Barney, North Dakota, the son of George and Amanda (Pompe) Brosowske. He was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Barney.
On October 12, 1944, he married Evelyn Wacha. The couple farmed in rural Barney before moving to Fergus Falls. They farmed in Carlisle Township and raised three children Nancy, Kathy and Rick. Howard retired from Medallion Kitchens.
Howard and Evie loved dancing. He was an avid reader and loved woodworking. In later years he enjoyed listening to music, cruising and telling stories.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, George and Amanda Brosowske and his sister, Ione Bladow.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Brosowske; children, Nancy Erickson of Seward, Alaska, Kathy (Arnie) Raether of St. Paul, MN and Rick (Lynnette) Brosowske of Moorhead, MN; a brother, Harold Brosowske of Grayslake, IL; 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren along with a host of family and friends.
In Lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the cancer center and Faith Church.
A Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, December 19th at Faith Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 6 pm at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens.
