Hazel E Johnson

Hazel Elizabeth Johnson, 96, originally of Frazee, passed away July 29, 2026, at the Battle Lake, Good Samaritan Society.

Hazel was born on July 23, 1930, to parents Emma and Otto Richter in Vergas, MN. She attended and graduated from Frazee High School. On October 22, 1949, she was united in marriage to Levi Johnson. Together, they made their home near Frazee and had two daughters: Vicki and Barbara.

Hazel is preceded in death by her loving husband, Levi; daughter, Vicki; granddaughter, Sarah; and siblings, Vernon and Marian. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Jim) Nordstrom; grandchildren, Michael (Brenda) Nordstrom, Jason (Tara) Nordstrom, Grant Nordstrom; great-grandchildren, Hanna (Ashton), Noah, Haley (Jacob), Jada, Abby (Caleb); great-great grandchildren, Wilder, Wrenley, Sage, Rowan, Kayson; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.

A Family-lead Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, August 14, 2026, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee, MN, with a visitation beginning an hour prior. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
