Grace Simonson

Grace Simonson, 103 of rural Dalton, Minnesota died Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at her home.
Grace Evelyn Simonson was born on June 30, 1914, by Dalton the daughter of Edwin and Christine (Knutson) Tripp. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and attended Country School District #285 in Tordenskjold Township.
Grace and Alfred Simonson were married on September 26, 1947, in South Dakota. After their marriage they lived on their farm by Dalton where Grace lived for over seventy years. She was a homemaker and worked various jobs in the Fergus Falls area doing housekeeping. Grace enjoyed the farm and cattle were her life, she was still checking cattle in her early 90’s. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and loved to cook. Grace was a kind person who always put family first, and was blessed with a good memory. She watched Wheel of Fortune, The Price Is Right and never missed a Daniel O’Donnell Concert on public television. Grace was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Ardella (Gordy) Hagen of Underwood; two sons, Roger (YeFang) Simonson and their grandson, William and Larry Simonson all of Dalton; one grandson, Bob (Jessica) Hagen and Evan of Underwood; and by numerous relatives and friends. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Christine Tripp; her husband, Alfred on July 31, 1982; and by four siblings, Clifford Tripp, Elvera Hanson, Kenneth and Glen Tripp.
Funeral Service: 11 AM Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Dalton.
Visitation: one hour prior to the service.
