Gordon Weinrich

Gordon Orvin Weinrich, age 84, of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014 under the care of Lakeland Hospice. He died peacefully with family at his side.
Gordon was born the fifth of eight children on February 16, 1930, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota to Anna (Schroeder) and Everett Weinrich. He attended school in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
Gordon began his working years at Quernemoen Heating. He tried his hand as an electrician but enjoyed the heating business more. He went on to work for Stan's Heating and later at Knutson Heating. In 1995 he retired from Bjorn's Heating and Air Conditioning.
Gordon considered himself a wealthy man because of his wonderful family! He married Sharon Moen at Hedemarken Church in Carlisle, Minnesota on February 11th, 1961. They were happily married for 53 years and were blessed with five children: three daughters, Tamara, Deanna, Lynette and two sons, Kevin and Darcy.
Gordon was a hard working individual with a generous disposition. He was a loving, supportive husband, a wonderful dad and grandpa, and a caring friend. Gordon enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons. He enjoyed gardening and providing bountiful supplies of fresh vegetables to everyone who stopped by!
Gordon is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon; his children, Tamara (James) Schafer of Delano, MN, Deanna (Matt) Kabliska of Onalaska, WI, Kevin (Linnae) Weinrich of St. Louis Park, MN, Lynette (Norm) Deuschle of Wellington, CO, Darcy (Tasha) Weinrich of Nisswa, MN; his grandchildren, Mathea and Helayna Schafer, Nicole Meier, Grace and John Kabliska, Devin and Louis Weinrich, Tony Weinrich and Nathan Posten, Courtney and Cole Weinrich; his borthers, Lawrence (Helen) Weinrich, Marvin Weinrich, and Wayne (Ruth) Weinrich; his sisters, Lenora Gregg and Jeanette Adkisson.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Everett Weinrich, a brother Delmer Weinrich and a sister Birdella Thompson.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 23, 2014.
