She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Gina and her brothers, Ralph, Floyd and Donald. Her husband Don died in January, 1985

Gen was a vibrant woman. She and Don raised a beautiful family that loved her dearly. Anne (Gary) Scheidecker; Gail (Gary) Severtson; Sarah (Robert) Wasvick; Earl (Suzanne) Mollerud; Donald Mollerud Jr.; and Elizabeth "Wissie" (Michael) Holt. She has 13 grandchildren: Christopher Scheidecker; Ian Scheidecker (fiancé Molly Tuck); Benjamin (Sarah) Severtson; Jill (Jeffrey) Groves; Lee (Jesseah) Severtson; Brady Wasvick; Taylor Wasvick; Blaine Wasvick; Colton Mollerud; Kai Mollerud; Keanan Mollerud; Riley Mollerud; Tryggvi Holt and Anders Holt. Highlights from her life include: Being the drum majorette of the Fergus Falls High School marching band; at age 16, she traveled to Washington D.C. to work at the Dept. of Metallurgy as a secretary; one year of college at the University of Minnesota followed by working as a secretary at General Mills. She worked as a legal secretary for Chester Rosengren in Fergus Falls. After having a family, Geneva volunteered with Mrs. Jaycee's culminating in a role as State President. She also was very involved with First Lutheran Church, teaching Sunday school and helping in other important ways. She enjoyed playing and teaching Bridge. She was a terrific Scrabble player. In 1972 she purchased the Clara B. Wright, a high-end dress store, with Kate Orandi and Suyen "Sunny" Hom. "Clara B's" catered to the women of Fergus Falls and the surrounding area. Later, she bought out her partners and was sole owner for many years. She called it her "social time."

For her six children, growing up on Lakeview Drive was indeed heaven on earth. She used to say "we live in paradise" when sitting on the back deck with a view of Wright Lake. Gen loved music and worked very hard to foster its growth in her family. She and Don were proud of their six college graduates. They worked very hard to provide family trips and other extra-curricular activities beyond school. Gen was legendary for her homemade Saturday morning caramel rolls offered to the entire neighborhood. Coffee, caramel rolls and conversation fostered amazing life-long friendships. She always made a generous batch of chocolate chip cookies, a staple at the Mollerud home. Sunday roasts welcomed the family home from First Lutheran Church each week where she hosted family and friends at the dinner table.

After the service, they will be serving caramel roll, hot fudge sundaes (Geneva's favorite), coffee and fellowship.
