Erma Evenson, 94, formerly of Fergus Falls, died Thursday, January 24, 2012 at Perham Living.
Erma Gertrude Evenson was born December 26, 1918 to George and Amelia (Becker) Eckhart in Breckenridge, MN. She attended school in Doran. Erma married Arthur Evenson on April 12, 1939. They farmed in Western and Maine Townships until moving to rural Fergus Falls. Arthur died in 1986 and Erma moved into Fergus Falls. She worked in various places in Fergus Falls including Rosenblat's for 7 years.
Erma enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting, reading, crossword puzzles and baking for family and friends. She was a long time member of Tingvold Lutheran Church and was active in Ladies Aide, making many quilts for missions and charity.
Erma is survived by 3 children, Joan (Larry) Lange of Perham, Mary (Richard) Hubbard of Green Valley, AZ and Gregory (Judy) Evenson of Thief River Falls, MN; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Theresa Bernard of Britton, SD; brother Arthur (Margaret) Eckhart of Fergus Falls; sister-in-law Doris Langseth of Fergus Falls; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur; her parents George and Amelia Eckhart; 4 sisters Martha, Rachel, Alma and Ann; 5 brothers, Sam, Carl, Albert, George and Richard.
Funeral Services: 1 PM Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Tingvold Lutheran Church, Rural Underwood, MN
