Edyth Eckman, 55 formerly of Crystal died Saturday, June 20, 2020, with her family at her side, at the Bethany Home in Alexandria, Minnesota.
Edyth Engleburg Eckman was born on August 22, 1964, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota the daughter of Lester and Phyllis (Elam) Eckman. She graduated from the Robbinsdale Cooper High School in 1982. Edy enjoyed crafts, board games, volunteered at her children’s school, and enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren. In May of 2018, she moved to the Bethany Home in Alexandria.
She is survived by three children, Ryan (Liz) Eckman of Henning, Amber (Rob) Plaman of Brandon and Zach (Gabi) Smith of Miltona; six grandchildren, Alivia, Colton, Julia, Amelia, Rylen and Baby Smith on the way; three sisters, Kathy (Keith) Krumrie and Melissa Eckman both of Minneapolis and Katy Eckman of Depoe Bay, Oregon; two brothers, Paul (Melissa) Eckman and Steve Eckman both of Minneapolis; and by numerous relatives and friends. Edy was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Phyllis Eckman; sister, Robin Eckman; and four brothers, Mark, Tim, Tom and Brad Eckamn.
A Visitation Celebrating Edy’s Life will be from 4 to 8 PM, Friday, June 26, 2020, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Battle Lake.
Interment will be in the Crystal Lake Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
