Donald Lee

Donald Gust Lee, 80, of Fergus Falls, passed away from a terminal illness on January 12, 2015, at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls.
He was born in Breckenridge, MN in 1934 at his family home, with his maternal grandmother serving as the midwife. He attended grade school in Minot, ND and rural Fergus Falls. Don graduated from Breckenridge High School and then enlisted in the Army in 1953. He served our country in the armed forces until 1971, at which time he was honorably discharged.
He enjoyed hiking, reading, camping, biking, small repair work. He lived with his parents in Erhard, MN until his father passed, and then he and his mother moved to Fergus Falls. Donnie was a quiet man who primarily kept to himself, but cared for his mother and assisted her with her daily living activities until she passed.
Donnie is preceded in death by his parents, John and Amanda Lee; his brothers, Allen Lee and Robert Lee; his sister, Bonnie Shaheen; his sister-in-law, Loretta Lee; brother-in-law, Reverend Charles Wind; and nephew, Ronald Lee.
He is survived by his sister, Ann Wind of Winthrop, MN; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Donnie spent his last months in the Broen Home on the hospice program, where he was well cared for by the staff and chaplain. The family is very grateful for the care and consideration that they gave to him to keep him comfortable in his last days.

Memorial Service: 11 AM Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Broen Home Light & Life Auditorium, Fergus Falls.

Interment: Bagstevold Cemetery, Erhard
