Danny Kvenvolden

Danny E. Kvenvolden, 79, passed away April 21, 2026, at his home in Fergus Falls, MN.

Danny was born July 10, 1946 in Fergus Falls, MN to parents Kermit and Iona Kvenvolden. He began his education at Lincoln Elementary before attending Fergus Falls High School where he graduated in 1964. He went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in accounting from Moorhead State University in 1968. As a young adult Danny started his career at Otter Tail Power Company where he dedicated over 30 years to his work before his golden retirement at the age of 57.

Danny was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and was an active member of Ducks Unlimited, Elk, and Pheasants Forever. He also enjoyed going to auctions where he could find new treasures for a good deal. Most importantly, Danny loved his family and friends.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents Kermit and Iona Kvenvolden. He is survived by his children, Patricia (Anthony) Smith, Andrew (Rebecca) Kvenvolden, and Joel (Rebecca Wresenberg) Kvenvolden; grandchildren, Eon Smith, Alexandra (James Washburn) Smith, Gabriel Smith, Odin Kvenvolden, Alexander (Aleah) Kvenvolden, Nikolas (Haiden Winkelman) Kvenvolden, Chloe Kvenvolden, Annabeth Kvenvolden, Leif Kvenvolden, Elliot Kvenvolden, Asher Kvenvolden; great-grandchildren, Cameron Kvenvolden, Andrew “Drew” Kvenvolden, Daniel “Danny” Kvenvolden; siblings, Mike (Carol) Kvenvolden, Kevin Kvenvolden, Jayne Bisson; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Ducks Unlimited.

A Celebration of life will be held from 11-1, Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, MN.
