Curtis Klossner

Curtis Arnold Klossner, 55, of Rothsay MN, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at his home. He was born March 24, 1971 in St. Paul, MN to George and Lonnie (VonBehren) Klossner. Curt grew up in Roseville, MN and graduated from Roseville High School in 1990. After high school, he attended SMU, in Texas, to play Football. Curt returned to Minnesota to start a lifetime of devoting himself to rescuing animals and many different career paths, each of which he was very successful in. On April 8, 2006 he married Dawn Marie. Together they welcomed their daughters; Siri Raelynn, Emma Eden, and Alea Rose into the world. Curt and Dawn also welcomed their daughter Brin Abigail, born into the arms of Jesus, February 5, 2015. Curt’s biggest joy in life was being a father.

Curt cherished life on earth, especially the life of cats and dogs who relied on humans. He always made it known that helping others was a way life. Curt had a love for the outdoors and nature. In addition to this, he had a collection of Pletan paintings that he cherished dearly. Curt had the ability to make others laugh and enjoyed giving the dogs their daily car rides up to the truck stop for donuts and pancakes. During these trips he would enjoy visiting with everyone uptown and sharing his words of wisdom to those who looked up to him about football or anything they wanted to discuss.

Curt’s legacy is carried on by his wife Dawn and daughters Siri, Emma and Alea. GAPO’s forever.

He is proceeded in death by his Daughter Brin, Parents George and Lonnie and Brother Corey.

Per Curt’s wishes, a formal service will not be held. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from 4-7pm at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls.
