Christine Knese

Christine Ann Knese, 68, of Underwood, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025, at her residence surrounded by loving family under the care of Moments Hospice.

Christine was born in Anoka, Minnesota, on November 3, 1957, to Cleo (Hoffman) Hopkins. She grew up in Monticello, graduating from the high school there.

On December 10, 1977, Christine married David Knese at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Clearwater, Minnesota. The couple would make their home in Maple Lake, MN. Christine had a self-employed housekeeping business, and made sure everything was in order at home. In 1985, Christine and David adopted their daughter, Kelly, when she was just 6 months old. Their family was now complete.

In 2005, Christine and Dave retired and moved to Long Lake in Underwood, MN. Christine would eventually come out of retirement and do housekeeping for Lake Region Hospital for a while but retired again.

Christine enjoyed being outdoors- whether it be tending to her flower garden, or fishing. She and Dave enjoyed traveling and took trips to California and Arizona. One of her favorite things was to bake during the Christmas season. She took part in a cookie exchange every year, and would deliver her cookies all around to friends. There were many tears and sweat put into her holiday goodies. If the finished product wasn’t perfect, she would start over. Dave and Kelly would always get to reap the benefits of the “perfectly unperfect” treats.

Christine is survived by her husband, Dave; daughter, Kelly Knese (Katelyn Skinner); sisters, Gloria Burton, Sandy Skodis, Jeanie Johnson; nieces and nephews, Kyle (Zac), Krista, Jessica, John and Charlene.

She will forever be missed.
