Carolyn Mae Dallmann was born May 21, 1938, in
Mankato
,
MN
the daughter of Harry and Freda (Gustafson) Evenson.
She grew up in
Belgrade
Township
near
Mankato
and was baptized and confirmed at
First
in St. Peter.
She attended country school until starting fifth grade at Nicollet and graduated from
Nicollet
in 1956.
She began working as secretary for the
North
in July of 1956.

On October 25, 1957, she married Wayne Dallmann at

in St. Peter.
Brad Lee was born in 1958 in
Mankato
.
In June of 1960, they moved to
Ames
,
Iowa
.
Carrie Lynn was born in 1961 in
Ames

In May of 1971, they bought Dallmann’s Resort and moved to
Battle
.
Carolyn worked as secretary at the
Battle
from June 1971 until retiring in April of 1993.
She sold Dallmann’s Resort in 1999.

Carolyn was a member of

Lutheran
Church
in Henning and Life In Christ in
Battle
.
Her family and friends were so special to her.
She cherished her grandkids.
From 1960 through the spring of 2010, she enjoyed league bowling.
She belonged to Red Hats, WOWS, Tops,
Battle
and the Hospital Auxiliary and held offices with various groups.
She also volunteered at the Lake Region Hospital Gift Shop for many years, helped with pre-school at the
Battle
and the Battle Lake Food Shelf where she served as a board member.
She enjoyed traveling by bus tours and cruises and feeding and watching the birds.
She did a lot of scrapbooking making a number of albums for the grandkids.
She also enjoyed fishing, reading, playing cards and penny bingo and loved her pet cats.

She is survived by her daughter, Carrie (Lyndon) Binde and grandchildren, Erin of Fargo, ND, Ryan and Karyn from Horace, ND; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Del and Eileen Dallmann of New Ulm, MN and by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, who died in 1988; son, Brad, who died in a car accident in 1986; her parents and a sister, Beverly Detjen.
